• Mike Hill

    Non-Executive Chairman

    Mike has more than 20 years’ experience working on corporate and private equity transactions in Australia and the UK. He is a former partner of Ernst & Young in their M&A team and in 2003 joined Ironbridge, a leading Sydney based private equity firm with $1.5bn of funds under management. Mike has worked as a senior member of the investment team at Ironbridge for more than 10 years covering deal assessment, investment management and exit planning across a number of Ironbridge portfolio companies.
    Mike has experience across numerous industries where he has served on company boards involved in the technology, retail, healthcare, media, waste services, tourism, hospitality and manufacturing sectors. His involvement with companies in these industries has been to work closely with founders and executive management teams to execute strategic growth objectives. Mike is currently the Executive Chairman of rhipe Limited (ASX: RHP), Chairman of INT Corporation Ltd (ASX:INT), Chairman of HJB Corporation Limited (ASX:HJB), Chairman of Modun Resources Limited (ASX:MOU) and a non-executive Director of JustKapital Litigation Partners Limited (ASX:JKL). He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.
  • Chris Colfer

    Non-Executive Director

    Chris serves an advisory role and brings his strong expertise in luxury and e-commerce to further drive the success of the AHAlife marketplace.

    Chris was the longest serving Non Executive Board Member of online luxury fashion retailer NET-A-PORTER, where he oversaw the initial investment by Richemont, saw its transformation into a billion-dollar company, and subsequently led the full acquisition in February 2010. Currently Colfer sits on the board of personalised fashion marketplace LYST, Nude by Nature, Huntsman & Sons, Grown Alchemist and Mobile Digital.
    Chris is an international Chairman, Chief Executive and Board Director with a track record in multiple industry sectors including luxury goods, branded goods and e-Commerce. He is highly skilled in strategy, retail, e-commerce, business development and marketing.

    During his career he has revitalised and repositioned organisations and brands to industry leaders. Notably, he successfully transformed UK luxury goods brand Alfred Dunhill Ltd. as CEO from June 2005 to October 2012 from a loss making company with double digit negative sales growth to an industry leader with year-over-year double digit sales growth. While at Richemont, he also oversaw the investment in, and management of, various textile businesses including Chloe, Shanghai Tang, Old England, Hackett and James Purdey and Sons.
  • Sebastian Kaufmann

    CEO

    In 2009, Sebastian founded a design and quality-centric eCommerce store, Kaufmann Mercantile. The company published a book which made Amazon’s list of “Best Books 2015”, and launched its own line of furniture and home goods whose release was featured, among others, in the New York Times. The company was extremely successful in generating a large volume of unpaid organic traffic from media, brand partners and SEO.
    The company grew to offer over 2,000 thoroughly researched, edited and globally sourced lifestyle products. He ran the company as CEO and Merchandising Director until its acquisition by AHAlife in July 2016. By this point the company had raised a total of US $4.6M from a consortium of venture capital firms and angel investors.

    Prior to his appointment as CEO, Sebastian served as AHAlife’s CCO (Chief Curation Officer) and oversees the merchandising, editorial and design.

    Sebastian Kaufmann earned a business degree in Marketing and International Market Management from the University of Muenster in 1999. After graduating he worked in branding and production for Neue Sentimental Film.

    Relocating to Los Angeles, he then in 2005 co-founded the production company Draw Pictures with offices in L.A. and London. He ran the L.A. offices as CEO and Executive Producer. In 2011 the company was successfully sold to a trade buyer.
  • Stuart Halls

    CFO, COO

    Stuart has led finance, operations and customer service at AHAlife in New York since July 2015. Stuart has 20+ years’ experience in senior financial and operational roles. He joined AHA from Ironbridge Capital (Private Equity) as Portfolio Manager working across multiple businesses and industries.

    Most recently a former CFO for Recreational Tourism Group, he led a successful turnaround and trade sale in April 2015 before joining AHA.
    Stuart was born in the UK and began his career at Unilever where he qualified as a chartered management accountant. He then spent 12 years working in large branded multinationals in various commercial and accounting roles in both the UK and then later in Australia after emigrating to Sydney in 2003. His experience covers Coca-Cola Amatil, Kellogg's and Arnott's (Campbell Soups Co.).

    Stuart holds an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management (AGSM) and is a fully qualified Chartered Accountant.
  • Mike Everett

    Non-Executive Director

    Michael has more than 25 years of capital markets and advisory experience. Michael retired from Goldman Sachs in 2013 after 11 years where he was a Managing Director and Co-head of the Financing Group within the Investment Banking Division in Australia.
    Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, he worked internationally for a large investment bank and has broad experience across the securities industry. During his career, he has advised a broad range of companies in a variety of industries. In late 2013, he established an independent capital markets advisory firm, Reunion Capital Partners. Michael is currently a director of HJB Corporation Limited and rhipe Limited.
  • Andrew Whitten

    Company Secretary

    Andrew is an admitted solicitor with a specialty in Corporate Finance and Securities Law and is a Solicitor Director of Whittens & McKeough Pty Ltd. Andrew is currently the company secretary of a number of publicly listed companies. He has been involved in a number of corporate and investment transactions including IPOs on the ASX and NSX, corporate reconstructions, reverse mergers and takeovers.
    Andrew holds a Bachelor of Arts (Economics UNSW); Master of Laws and Legal Practice (Corporate Finance and Securities Law-UTS); Graduate Diploma in Applied Corporate Governance from the Governance Institute of Australia and is an elected Associate of that institute. Andrew is also a Public Notary.
